22 golden rules for reducing stress.

Some stress is good for our growth, but when there is too much of it, they can be unhealthy. Here are some tips on keeping your stress at a manageable level.

1. Get your priorities straighten out, by sorting out what really matters in your life.

2. Look for support and share your worries with your family or friends.

3. When things seems overwhelming, always remember that given time it can be reverse.

4. Plan ahead, and anticipate difficulties, but try to get around it.

5. Exercise at least three times a week.

6. Plan on developing a social network of friends.

7. Lead a regular lifestyle.

8. Learn to know yourself better by improving your defences, and strengthen your weaknesses.

9. Reward yourself for your achievements, your positive actions, attitudes, and thoughts.

10. Be realistic when tackling your problems, and decide to take some appropriate action: if
necessary, distract yourself in a pleasant way. Do not bottle up things, or sit up all night
brooding.

11. Don't be too hard on yourself.

12. Always keep things in perspective.

13. Do relaxation exercises, and take short breaks throughout the day.

14. Know that there are always people who are willing and able to help, whatever the problem.
Don't be unwilling to benefit from their experience.

15. Take small changes for your lifestyle.

17. Make space for leisure time.

18. Break at the right times for meals.

19. Enjoy yourself, your family and your friends.
